Video of the Week - Religion and Compassion

Howdy partners, hope your Sunday has started great?

Well, Sunday is the one day a majority attend church services and engage in religious activities for the better part of the day. For the record, we deliberately stay away from religion at Complitly Connect Magazine, lest we spread ourselves too thin and thereby lose impact.

Today, our video is an appreciation speech that Karen Armstrong delivered at TED in 2008, after receiving that year's TED Prize.

In the talk above, Karen calls for the revival of the Golden Rule by bringing compassion back to religion.
In essence, she seeks help in building a Charter for Compassion — to help restore the Golden Rule (“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”) as the central global religious doctrine.

As an addendum to the issue of religion addressed above, is religion good or bad? Kwame Anthony Appiah would like to know as he asks this trick question:

Here's wishing y'all a compassionate day!
